Keith Peters – Member Profile

My family left Georgetown when I was 16 years old, and moved to sunny California and did not graduate at that time. Broken hearted at that time because of losing very good friends that I had grown up with, I enlisted in the service at age seventeen and was shipped of to Viet Nam.

I lived in Georgetown from about 1954 through 1964 going to George Kennedy Public School and Georgetown High. I remember a lot of names I see at this site, what wonderful memories. Here in Cal. I am a special effects/ electro/mechanical designer real fun stuff.

I have been married for 31 lovely years to Kathy have a daughter Trish and granddaughter, Blake. My Aunt and Uncle Arthur Peters still live on Langstone in Georgetown.

This photograph, taken about 1962, is of my cousin Pat and me, with Danny of Danny and the Juniors. We had just won a dance contest with Danny and the Juniors when they were in Georgetown. I believe it was above the old rink (Rose Room) on John Street.
